After Man in the Box the person switches to the left side for the rest of the show. Because of this he misses the intro to Put You Down.Sea of Sorrow was also cut. I have no idea why. There is a few seconds but then it cuts to Love, Hate, Love. Overall it is a good job with the video but because the camera was so close to the stage the audio isn't very good. This concert is also fairly short.

The audio also switches from what seems to be mono to stereo throughout the concert. I'm guessing it is from the camera.The concert starts off with Sean yelling to the crowd and then they bust into the same thing as was seen on the Music Bank DVD (Singer drumming, Drummer singing). Pretty funny and a little disturbing. :)

Video: The video after it was digitally transferred was ran though a light video filter to any remove VHS noise. A small amount of color correction implemented to bring out the color. The video reminds in it's native 4:3 ratio. DVD video was encoded in a VBR format with min=2000 ave=4500 max=8000. A small amount of sharpness enhancement was used, if video appears blocky then lower sharpness on your TV. NTSC only Audio: The audio was digitally restored to remove broadcast noise. The audio was also raised by 8db to add more punch. The DVD contains Dolby Digital 2.0 (stereo) and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Extras: The extras come from various tapes submitted to dvd.blindmelon.com. The feature show will always be first generation but extras can be low in quality. The 13min broadcast portion found on this release is very nice-looking & low-gen but not quite as sharp as that which Smeagol surfaced in 2005. It's the un-broadcast footage that garners all the attention here. It has *some* generation (maybe 2nd-3rd gen?), some constant static-flakes & a few quick audio-drops scattered about. The sound isn't as good as that found on the broadcast either. BUT -- we now can see important parts that the broadcast portion failed to include, moments like Young MC's additional verse on "Epic" & the full, Ozzy-lead rendition of "War Pigs", filmed from on stage to Ozzy's left. Although it isn't nearly as crisp as the broadcast portion, this additional segment carries all the punch. One of the most intriguing & important FNM boots in existence. 49min.

The Uncut Version (unreleased version)
Pro-shot, w/menu and chapters. This is the complete, uncensored version of the famous Ritz '88 concert. The picture quality is not nearly as good as the edited version, but this version contains almost 10 minutes of exclusive, additional footage, including the song "Mama Kin", and a few Axl rants (plus the complete Slash rant introducing "Nightrain"!). This one was a bitch to sync. The "Silver Bullet" CD bootleg audio track was edited all over the place (almost 7 minutes of audio missing!) so I tried to do my best to keep it as in sync as possible, and it was a very lengthy process, but there are a few instances where there's a (very) slight delay. I was concerned about that so I added the original VHS sound as a "backup" audio track. I cleaned it up and it actually doesn't sound bad at all. You can even hear guitars a lot more better than on the CD track. The CD track was also a lot faster than the VHS sound so I had to reduce its speed (by about 2%), and I patched the missing parts using the VHS sound. Either way, you can switch between tracks using the AUDIO button of your DVD player remote.
